LEAF COMPOSTING & BRUSH PROCESSING

Leaf Composting

Each year leaves are received from nearby communities and managed at High Acres. They are placed in rows and “turned” periodically in order to encourage the natural decomposition process. The finished product results in a nice soil enhancement material to promote vegetative growth.

Brush Processing

Each year trees, limbs and branches are received from nearby communities and managed at High Acres. A large machine grinds this material into a manageable size wood chip. The chips are useful to build trails or use in landscape applications.
