NATURE TRAILS/WILDLIFE HABITAT REFUGE
High Acres is home to a beautiful habitat area located on over 150 acres north of Perinton Parkway. This is available to the public 365 days a year from dawn till dusk.
Located within the complex is 4 miles of trails, 2 bodies of water and several ecosystem plant communities. The land is not only rich in a variety of plants, but also abundant with many species of birds and mammals.
Encouraged activities include:
- Hiking
- Nature walks
- Jogging
- School field trips
- Fishing
- Bird watching
- Cross country skiing
- Picnicking
In order to protect the natural habitat, the following activities are prohibited:
- Swimming
- Alcoholic beverages
- Motorized vehicles
- Hunting
- Canoeing
- Campfires
- Unleashed pets
- Ice skating
- Overnight camping
- Littering
- Removal of wildlife, plant or trees
